Associate - Litigation Practice Group

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced employment law Associate for its Chatham, New Jersey office. This full-time, hybrid position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. The role involves working in-office at least two days per week, with flexibility for additional days as needed.

Duties

• Draft pleadings and motions.
• Conduct legal research.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery, including E-discovery.
• Prepare and respond to motions.
• Assist with deposition preparation and mediations.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
• Engage in trial preparation.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including lawsuits and administrative charges.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-6 years of substantive employment law experience.
• Experience advising clients on a range of employment law issues.
• Admitted to the NJ bar (NY bar admission preferred).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
