Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its New York office. This role focuses on complex commercial litigation, including matters related to managed care and ERISA, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile cases in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters for a range of clients.
• Draft and argue pleadings, including complaints, motions to dismiss, and summary judgment motions.
• Assist with applications for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions.
• Take and defend depositions and work with expert witnesses.
• Support litigation involving managed care issues, including Medicare, Medicaid, and ERISA-related disputes.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and execution.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
• Experience with managed care, ERISA, or related litigation preferred.
• Experience drafting and arguing contested motions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the New York Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the New York Bar.
