Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Energy and Infrastructure practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have three to nine years of experience in energy projects, particularly in renewable energy and energy storage offtake work. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on client collaboration.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate renewable energy power purchase agreements.
  • Handle corporate PPAs and energy storage offtake agreements.
  • Manage offtakes for carbon removal credits and nuclear offtakes.
  • Work on renewable energy credit agreements and hedging agreements.
  • Engage in resource adequacy sales agreements, ISDAs, and EEI agreements.

Requirements

  • 3-9+ years of relevant experience in energy projects.
  • Excellent academic credentials and superior communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar where the candidate will be located.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
