Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney for its Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice in Chicago, IL. The candidate will engage in management-side labor and employment law, contributing to high-impact projects and collaborating with a dynamic team.

Duties

• Handle litigation aspects, including witness interviews and document review.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Interact with clients and opposing counsel.
• Attend court appearances.
• Provide advice on workplace law issues, including wage and hour and employee relations.

Requirements

• Two to five years of relevant labor and employment law experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Admission to practice law in Illinois.
• Former experience as a federal court law clerk preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
