Requirements

  • Member in good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Expertise in foreign grantor and nongrantor trust planning.
  • Experience with pre-immigration and expatriation planning.
  • Knowledge of international income tax matters, including CFCs and PFICs.
  • Ability to plan for U.S. real estate investments by non-U.S. persons.
  • Understanding of tax compliance and reporting obligations for cross-border interests.
