The candidate will have immediate exposure to all aspects of patent litigation. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal research, and handle cases from the cradle to the grave. Interview client representatives to learn the facts of the case. Investigate facts supporting the complaint or answer. Prepare a complaint or answer. Develop a discovery plan and respond to discovery requests. Review discovery responses and document production. Prepare initial contentions. Develop and brief claim construction positions. Argue discovery motions and Markman hearing. Interview and select experts and prepare expert reports. Take and defend fact witness depositions. Take and defend expert witness depositions. Prepare and respond to dispositive motions. Prepare for trial and trial.
