Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid to senior level associate to join its Real Estate Finance group in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of academic achievement and have experience in law firms or clerking, with strong research, writing, and communication skills.

Duties

• Engage in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Draft primary loan documents and manage transactions from inception through closing.
• Handle asset management and workout experience, including secondary market repurchase facility work.
• Collaborate with a team to support and grow the national practice.

Requirements

• 3+ years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Ambition, drive, and team-orientation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.

Skills

• Superb research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
