Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate specializing in Private Equity and Investment Management to join their team in Greenwich, CT. The position offers the flexibility to work from any of the firm's offices, including locations in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C.

Duties

  • Draft sophisticated investment management and fund-related documents.
  • Advise investment managers on regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Negotiate and document strategic joint ventures and financings.
  • Represent family offices and institutional investors.
  • Prepare and review investment management and sub-advisory agreements.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of investment management and private fund formation experience.
  • Excellent technical, professional, and client service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently.
  • Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing.

Skills

  • Experience with investment adviser regulatory matters.
  • Proficiency in drafting private placement memoranda and related documents.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to meet client needs.
