Associate Attorney

Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in White Plains, NY. The candidate will manage a diverse caseload in matrimonial and family law, providing strategic, client-focused legal representation.

Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of matrimonial and family law matters.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence.
• Appear in Supreme and Family Courts.
• Conduct hearings, trials, and depositions.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court proceedings.
• Manage client communications and meetings.
• Travel for court appearances in Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam, and Rockland Counties.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Active license to practice law in New York State.
• Minimum of 3 years of matrimonial/family law experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Effective negotiation and advocacy abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New York State.
