Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced divorce and family law attorney to join their team in White Plains, NY. The successful candidate will develop case strategies, collaborate with leadership on case management, and deliver impactful results for clients and their families.

Duties

  • Lead complex divorce and family law matters from client intake through strategy, discovery, negotiation, trial, and settlement.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Oversee case staffing, workflow efficiency, and quality control.
  • Engage prospective high-end clients in intake meetings and serve as a strategic representative.
  • Develop firm-wide best practices, support business development, and refine operational systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of substantive divorce/family law experience, with exposure to high-asset and complex cases.
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience managing legal teams or associates.
  • Excellent communication, trial preparation, and client counseling skills.
  • Tech-forward mindset; familiarity with practice-management systems, digital workflows, and efficient project delivery.
  • Passion for delivering empathetic, strategic advocacy in emotionally sensitive cases.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
