Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business and transactional law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents.
• Manage due diligence processes for various transactions.
• Advise private companies, investors, and portfolio companies on corporate matters.
• Collaborate with partners and clients throughout transaction lifecycles.
• Handle multiple matters efficiently with increasing responsibility.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions.
• Strong emphasis on private equity sponsored deals, particularly in middle-markets.
• Excellent academic credentials and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the Missouri Bar.
