Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate Attorney to join its Corporate Finance Division in Kansas City, MO. This role offers the chance to work with a well-established corporate group on dynamic transactions for national clients.

Duties

• Engage in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
• Participate in private equity transactions, including fund formation and governance.
• Advise on venture capital and early-stage investment transactions.
• Provide guidance on '34 Act compliance and reporting.
• Represent broker-dealers and investment advisers in investment management matters.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission without examination in Minnesota.
• 2-4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions or capital markets transactions.
• Experience in private equity investment or leveraged buyout transactions preferred.
• Familiarity with corporate governance and venture capital investment transactions is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed attorney in good standing.
