Employment Law Associate Attorney

A law firm located in Troy, MI, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in labor and employment law, including negotiation, drafting, compliance, and litigation. Additionally, the ability to manage and grow client relationships and a portable book of business would be advantageous.

Duties:

• Negotiate and draft correspondence and agreements related to labor and employment law.
• Provide consulting and advice to employers regarding employment law compliance and best practices.
• Handle all aspects of employment law litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court and other administrative or governmental employment oversight settings.
• Manage and develop client relationships.
• Utilize strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Strong background in negotiating and drafting employment-related agreements.
• Proficient in providing counsel to employers on employment law compliance.
• Extensive experience in employment law litigation, including drafting legal documents and representing clients.
• Ability to manage and expand client relationships.
• A portable book of business is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the Michigan State Bar or eligibility for admission.
