Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Counsel in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, including development and redevelopment projects. This role involves working with developers, owners, investors, and other stakeholders on complex transactions across various asset classes.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and development agreements.
  • Lead due diligence, including title and survey review, and zoning analyses.
  • Coordinate and close acquisitions, dispositions, and development transactions.
  • Manage workstreams and mentor junior lawyers.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of sophisticated real estate transactional experience.
  • Experience at a major law firm with a national practice.
  • Proven track record in acquisitions, dispositions, and build-to-suit leasing.
  • Experience coordinating closings and overseeing due diligence.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the relevant state.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of practice.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with complex real estate concepts.
