Job Overview

A law firm seeks an enthusiastic Midlevel Labor Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their dynamic Labor Group. This role focuses on labor law, not employment law, and is available in multiple locations, including Atlanta, Austin, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, or Orlando.

Duties

  • Represent clients in grievance arbitration hearings and unfair labor practice proceedings.
  • Advise clients on union organizing campaigns.
  • Support collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Provide management training on the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
  • Collaborate with a national team of labor attorneys on complex matters.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of dedicated management-side labor law experience.
  • First-chair experience in grievance arbitration matters.
  • Ability to manage matters independently and lead proceedings.
  • Experience practicing before the NLRB, with first-chair hearing experience preferred.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Strong writing skills; writing samples may be requested.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant state.
