Innovation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney in Chicago, IL. This role connects the firm's lawyers, clients, and Technology & Information Services Department to ensure technology systems meet the needs of attorneys and clients. The position may offer a hybrid work arrangement.

Duties

• Stay informed on advancements in generative AI and emerging technologies.
• Provide updates and analysis of new technologies to firm management.
• Identify opportunities to integrate technologies into specific practices.
• Collaborate with management to recommend strategic technology deployments.
• Foster relationships with industry organizations and vendors.
• Assist in communication between lawyers and technology support teams.
• Participate in technology-related committees and working groups.
• Deliver technology presentations and training to attorneys.
• Protect and maintain confidential and proprietary information.

Requirements

• Understanding of product development and management.
• Proficiency in enterprise PC applications like MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Knowledge of LegalTech product categories.

Education

• JD or equivalent, and admission to the relevant state bar.

Certifications

• None specified.

Skills

• Experience as a practicing lawyer or in a legal operations role.
• Experience in a technology role, preferably.
