Job Overview
A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will contribute to the firm's continued success by providing exceptional legal representation and client service.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Appear in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
  • Analyze legal issues and develop case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate case files and meet all deadlines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to achieve favorable client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Illinois.
  • 0-3 years of legal experience preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Illinois.
