The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in various areas of family law, including divorce, support, and custody. Additionally, the firm prefers candidates who bring a book of business. This position requires the ability to manage an active case load, possess strong courtroom skills, and handle cases across South Central, Pennsylvania. Firm management handles the business aspects, allowing attorneys to focus solely on legal practice.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse range of family law cases, including divorce, support, and custody matters.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients, ensuring their interests are protected.
  • Collaborate with firm colleagues on complex cases and legal strategies.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing family law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling divorce, support, and custody cases.
  • Proven track record of success in courtroom proceedings.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel within South Central Pennsylvania for case representation.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
