Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate for the Private Funds/Investment Services team in New York, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary practice, engaging with shareholders and participating in business development activities.

Duties

• Collaborate with shareholders on client-facing activities.
• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
• Participate in business development initiatives.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of corporate and securities law experience.
• Experience with SEC-registered investment advisers and private investment funds.
• Knowledge of federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Transactional experience with mergers and acquisitions involving investment advisers.
• Admitted to practice in New York, Illinois, or District of Columbia.

Education

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admitted to the bar in applicable jurisdiction.
