A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with 2-4 years of experience to join its patent prosecution practice in Washington, D.C. The role involves assisting clients in protecting their technology.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Support due diligence efforts for clients.
• Manage assignments from multiple partners and clients.

Requirements

• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Patent Bar eligible.
• Licensed to practice law in the respective state, if applicable.
• Strong time management and deadline management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field.

Certifications

• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
