Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney with expertise in Employee Benefits (ERISA) to join their Kansas City, MO office. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills, along with a background in various retirement and compensation plans.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Collaborate with employment, corporate finance, and business practice groups.
  • Manage a challenging workload with a commitment to client service.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Background in qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ESOPS, health and welfare plans.
  • Experience with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and IRC Section 409A.
  • Active Missouri license or eligibility to become admitted to the Missouri bar.

Education

  • Degree or background in tax, finance, or business preferred.

Certifications

  • Missouri bar admission or eligibility.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and maturity.
  • Willingness to learn and manage complex tasks.
