A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team in Miami, Florida. This is a full-time, hybrid remote position where the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to handle a wide range of family law matters with the support of senior attorneys. The firm values its commitment to improving the lives of clients while maintaining a balanced work-life culture. You will play a key role in providing high-quality legal services, collaborating with paralegals and support staff, and delivering client-centered results.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic legal guidance to clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are prioritized throughout the case.
  • Represent clients in family law court proceedings, including hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents as required for case progression.
  • Handle discovery, settlement conferences, and pretrial hearings, and assist with trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Conduct consultations with potential clients, presenting the firm’s value and securing new business.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for each case, and verify client funding before initiating work.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case status, expectations, and next steps.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar with a valid license in good standing.
  • 0-3 years of experience in family law, with a passion for helping clients navigate complex personal matters.
  • Trial experience is a plus but not required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a caseload independently.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar membership in good standing (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Experience in family law, including divorce, custody, and support matters.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and legal documents related to family law.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases at once while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Client-focused approach with an emphasis on clear communication and professionalism.
  • Ability to collaborate and delegate work to paralegals and support staff.
