A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney specializing in video/audio processing to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or computer science and a minimum of two years of experience in intellectual property prosecution.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their technical innovations.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Provide strategic advice on intellectual property matters.

Requirements

• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience.
• Experience in physics, math, optics, or audio/image processing preferred.
• Experience with codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI is a plus.

Education

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.

Certifications

• USPTO admission required.
