A law firm in Auburn, CA, is seeking a Business Law Associate Attorney with at least 1+ years of experience. The ideal candidate must be extremely organized, professional, and self-sufficient. Experience in business law and civil litigation is necessary, and expertise in employment law and/or estate planning is desirable. The attorney will be responsible for assigned cases and clients, including drafting pleadings, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, attending court hearings, and ensuring the preparation/completion of cases. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Google platforms, billing time, and experience with cloud-based applications is essential.

 

Duties:

  • Responsible for assigned cases and clients.
  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Attend court hearings and represent clients.
  • Ensure preparation and completion of cases.
  • Utilize MS Word, MS Excel, Google platforms, and billing time efficiently.
  • Use cloud-based applications for legal tasks.
  • Maintain extreme organization in work.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • 1+ years of experience in business law and civil litigation.
  • Experience in employment law and/or estate planning is desirable.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent client communication skills.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
