Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Immigration group in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in immigration law, focusing on business and employment-based immigration.

Duties

  • Handle nonimmigrant visas such as H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and E-2.
  • Manage immigrant petitions including EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and PERM labor certifications.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and manage cases efficiently.
  • Collaborate with corporate clients, HR teams, and global mobility programs.
  • Address complex Requests for Evidence (RFE) and audit responses.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Experience managing cases with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar.
