Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its New York office. The successful candidate will engage in a dynamic practice, focusing on litigation and defense strategies for a variety of insurance claims.

Duties

• Develop and propose litigation strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
• Draft reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions and participate in mediations and trials.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction defense under New York Labor Law 200, 240(1) & 241(6).
• Experience in premises liability, professional liability, negligent security, wrongful death, automobile, and sexual misconduct claims is preferred.
• Admitted and in good standing in New York; additional state admissions are a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York.
