Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Litigation Partner or Senior Counsel to join their expanding offices in Wilmington, NC. The candidate should possess a minimum of ten years of significant civil and/or commercial litigation experience and a reasonable book of portable litigation business. This role involves managing an active caseload and contributing to the firm's growth in North Carolina.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee an active litigation caseload.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Conduct discovery and prepare for depositions and trials.
  • Perform legal research and analysis.
  • Engage in oral advocacy and communication with clients.
  • Network within the community and professional organizations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of significant commercial litigation experience.
  • Experience in construction litigation preferred.
  • Current member of the North Carolina bar.
  • Litigation experience in North Carolina federal and state courts.
  • Ability to manage a team of associates and paralegals.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Membership in the North Carolina bar.
