Litigation Attorney

A law firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced litigator to join its commercial dispute resolution team. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex commercial litigation matters across all phases—from initial investigation and pleadings to discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals

• Draft compelling legal briefs, memoranda, and correspondence with a focus on clarity, depth, and precision

• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts; handle expert preparation and cross-examination strategy

• Represent clients in court appearances, arbitration proceedings, and settlement negotiations

• Oversee and coordinate litigation support teams, including junior attorneys and paralegals

• Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with clients and firm leadership

• Stay abreast of evolving legal trends and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 7 to 10 years of substantive experience handling business or commercial litigation matters

• Demonstrated success in drafting advanced legal arguments and managing all facets of complex litigation

• Current license to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing

• Experience in both state and federal court proceedings

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a U.S.-accredited law school
