Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Hartford, CT, specializing in civil litigation. Duties

• Manage caseload from inception to conclusion.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Engage with clients, experts, and attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
• Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
• Provide clients with regular status updates and reports.

Requirements

• 3 to 8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Clerkship experience is a valuable asset.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
• Strong legal research and discovery response skills.
• Effective communication and advocacy skills.
• Attention to detail and prioritization abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or eligible for admission with a UBE score.
