Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Agent or Associate to join its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution practice group in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, relevant industry experience, and excellent communication skills.

Duties

• Draft and file high-quality patent applications.
• Oversee and manage patent preparation and prosecution.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of submissions.
• Work with a diverse client base focusing on electrical engineering and software-related technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience with graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, and robotics circuitry.
• Admission to the USPTO is required.
• JD and active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice for associate candidates.

Education

• Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics.

Certifications

• USPTO admission.
