A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with at least 2 years of law firm experience to join their patent prosecution and technology practice in Washington, DC. The candidate will utilize their technical expertise to assist clients in protecting medical device and mechanical technology.

Duties

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Support due diligence efforts for clients.
  • Manage assignments from multiple partners and clients.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of law firm experience.
  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Strong time management and deadline management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Certifications

  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Licensed to practice law in respective state, if applicable.
