Senior Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney in Hartford, CT. The role involves reviewing titles, pleadings, and court notices, preparing for and attending short calendar sessions, and communicating with clients and peers regarding case status. The attorney will assist with case strategy and make court appearances related to foreclosure matters, demonstrating a high level of preparation and competency.

Duties

• Review titles and provide legal advice to clients.
• Update clients on case developments and maintain client rapport.
• Work with legal assistants and peers to monitor case progress.
• Draft, prepare, and format legal documents including memoranda and pleadings.
• Make court appearances remotely and across Connecticut.
• Write, review, and edit reports and other documents for compliance.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
• Membership in the State Bar of Connecticut.
• Ability to manage cases independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• State Bar of Connecticut membership.

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Teams is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Experience with Promissory Notes, Mortgages, and related documents.
• Familiarity with case-management systems and client communication tools is a plus.
