Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Hartford, CT. The role involves reviewing titles, pleadings, and court notices, preparing for and attending short calendar sessions, and communicating with clients and peers regarding case status. The attorney will assist with case strategy and handle court appearances and document preparation related to foreclosure cases.

Duties

• Update clients regarding case developments.
• Maintain rapport with clients by addressing their needs.
• Work with legal assistants, monitor case progress, and draft legal documents.
• Make court appearances remotely and across Connecticut.
• Write, review, and edit reports and legal documents for compliance.
• Take on new responsibilities and learn the foreclosure process.

Requirements

• Strong character and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently.
• Membership in the State Bar of Connecticut required.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership in the State Bar of Connecticut.

Skills

• Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Teams is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
