Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Experienced Estate Planning Attorney in Houston, TX. The attorney will provide expert legal counsel in estate planning, including wills, trusts, and related documents. This role involves client consultations, document preparation, and collaboration with financial advisors to ensure clients' estate plans meet their objectives.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth consultations to assess clients' estate planning needs.
• Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
• Guide clients through the execution and funding of estate plans.
• Collaborate with financial planners and accountants to align estate plans with clients' goals.
• Educate clients on estate planning strategies and asset protection options.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with clients.
• Stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations.
• Contribute to firm growth through networking and client referrals.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning or related field.
• Experience with uncontested probate.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and trust laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.
• Proficiency in Wealthcounsel software.
• Preference given to Lawmatics users.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software.
• Comfortable with the use of technology.
• Strong desire for personal and professional growth.
• Ability to mentor young professionals.
