A law firm seeks an Experienced Estate Planning Attorney in Houston, TX. The attorney will provide expert legal counsel in estate planning, including wills, trusts, and related documents. Duties

  • Conduct in-depth consultations to assess clients' estate planning needs.
  • Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
  • Guide clients through the execution and funding of estate plans.
  • Collaborate with financial planners and accountants to align estate plans with clients' goals.
  • Educate clients on estate planning strategies and asset protection options.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to firm growth through networking and client referrals.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning or related field.
  • Experience with uncontested probate.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and trust laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Proficiency in Wealthcounsel software.
  • Preference given to Lawmatics users.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software.
  • Comfortable with the use of technology.
  • Strong desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Ability to mentor young professionals.

  • Experience with high-net-worth clients or complex trust structures.
  • Familiarity with tax planning and charitable giving strategies.
