Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior level Entertainment Music Associate to join their specialized music team in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-level transactions with a diverse roster of clients, including emerging and superstar-level talent, music companies, investors, and digital music services.

Duties

  • Collaborate on music industry transactions, including recording agreements and music catalog acquisitions.
  • Provide legal counsel on music M&A transactions, conducting due diligence and negotiating agreements.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 3-5 years of M&A experience at a reputable large law firm.
  • Experience in music catalog sales and acquisitions is advantageous.
