Associate - Commercial Transactions (Copyright/Technology)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified associate with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join the transactional side of their Copyright practice in Los Angeles, CA. This role focuses on advising leading technology, digital media, and content-driven companies on complex commercial transactions.

Duties

• Advise clients on licensing, data and content acquisition, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Draft and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements.
• Focus on principal-side deal work in the music, entertainment, and content space.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience in technology transactions, IP licensing, or similar practice preferred.
• Prior experience in entertainment, music, or media is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
