A law firm seeks an experienced Foreclosure Attorney in Garden City, NY. Duties

• Appear in Supreme, Surrogates, and Federal Court to argue motions and participate in mediations.
• Maintain communication with clients, investors, and adversaries to ensure timely case progress.
• Build relationships with court personnel to manage case timelines and procedural requirements.
• Oversee and mentor support staff, guiding legal documentation and client communication tasks.
• Draft and manage complex motions for efficient case progression through litigation and loss mitigation.
• Review and oversee paralegal work to ensure quality and accuracy of legal documents.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience handling foreclosure matters in New York State.
• Admitted to practice in New York (EDNY and SDNY is a plus).
• Superior organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Strong legal writing and drafting skills, focusing on complex motions.
• Proven communication skills with clients, adversaries, and court personnel.
• Leadership qualities to manage and guide support staff.
• Proactive, independent worker eager to learn and grow.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
