Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Raleigh, NC. The role requires a proactive professional eager to expand their legal expertise in an underserved area of law.

Duties

  • Organize and maintain accurate client files.
  • Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determining solutions.
  • Create legal documents for negotiations and proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and attend hearings under supervision.
  • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients.
  • Conduct discovery calls with prospective clients.
  • Build trust with clients to convert consultations into cases.
  • Review and explain payment structures and retainer agreements.
  • Act as the primary contact for client payments and arrangements.
  • Collaborate with marketing for client engagement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Passed the state bar exam.
  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to serve client needs.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Member in good standing with the ABA.
  • J.D. degree and active law license in North Carolina.
  • Experience in professional licensing/administrative law preferred.
  • Experience in sales preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer software and cloud-based technology.
  • Valid driver's license.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in North Carolina.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven and organized.
  • Proficient in meeting software like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
