Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney with six or more years of experience to join their Public Agency practice in Sacramento, CA. This role involves handling complex litigation matters for public entities, appearing in court, and collaborating with clients within a well-established practice group.

Duties

  • Litigate matters for public agencies, including cities and special districts.
  • Manage cases through all litigation phases, including pleadings and trial preparation.
  • Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions.
  • Appear in court and before administrative bodies.
  • Advise clients on litigation strategy and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups while managing matters independently.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience with public agencies or governmental entities preferred.
  • Experience with land use and/or CEQA is a plus.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California bar license in good standing.
