Job Overview:
We are seeking a mid-level Family Law Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join a collaborative law firm. As an Attorney I, you will manage family law cases with autonomy and support from the firm. The position provides a significant portion of work through the firm’s lead generation and marketing efforts, with additional responsibilities to generate some billable work independently. The successful candidate will focus on mediation, client consultations, and litigation preparation. This role offers a work-life integration, a collaborative culture, and a competitive compensation and incentive structure.

Duties:

  • Handle family law cases, with a preference for mediation experience and trial experience.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Market legal services to prospective clients.
  • Perform discovery and due diligence in preparation for litigation.
  • Communicate and advise clients, ensuring clear and effective counsel.
  • Manage consultations to reach production and collection objectives, including weekend consultations as necessary.
  • Ensure timely approval of invoices and accurate billing processes.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management.
  • Actively engage in brand promotion through blogs, social media posts, and professional participation.
  • Seek positive client feedback and reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney or eligibility for reciprocal admission to the bar in the relevant state.
  • 3+ years of experience as an attorney, with family law experience preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload, meet billable hour targets, and close consultations.
