Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate in Milwaukee, WI. The successful candidate will manage commercial real estate transactions, providing comprehensive legal support from inception through closing.

Duties

  • Handle commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating key documents.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews, analyzing title commitments, surveys, and environmental reports.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases and related documents for various property types.
  • Provide counsel on real estate development, land use, and zoning compliance.
  • Advise on real estate finance transactions, preparing and negotiating loan documents.
  • Support corporate transactions involving real estate assets, including due diligence coordination.
  • Structure and document real estate joint ventures and ownership arrangements.
  • Resolve real estate disputes through negotiation and litigation support.
  • Collaborate with attorneys on real estate matters affecting mergers, acquisitions, and financing.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions in a business law firm.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with precision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client service.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice or eligible for admission to practice in the State of Wisconsin.

Skills
