Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Probate Attorney licensed in Oregon or Washington to join their team in Vancouver, WA. The attorney will advise clients, guide a support team, and represent clients in county courts across Oregon and Washington, managing client relationships from consultation through case closure.

Duties

  • Lead client consultations and assess goals.
  • Provide legal advice for estate settlement matters.
  • Present services and fees to clients.
  • Explain estate settlement processes clearly.
  • Direct support team on document drafting.
  • Review and revise estate settlement documents.
  • Represent clients at court hearings.
  • Communicate with co-counsel and court staff.
  • Track time on hourly matters accurately.
  • Conduct legal research as needed.

Requirements

  • Active member of the Washington or Oregon State Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of legal experience; probate experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Washington or Oregon probate procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with case management software and Microsoft Office.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Oregon or Washington.

Skills

  • Strong client relations and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
