Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Estate Planning and Probate Attorney licensed in Oregon or Washington to join their team in Vancouver, WA. The role involves working closely with clients to guide them through estate planning and settlement processes, ensuring clarity and efficiency in all legal matters.

Duties

  • Lead client consultations and meetings, assessing goals and providing clear advice.
  • Provide legal strategy across estate planning and settlement matters.
  • Represent clients in Oregon and Washington county courts.
  • Direct estate administrations and assign matters across the attorney team.
  • Review and customize legal documents, ensuring client needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and court staff.

Requirements

  • Active member in good standing of the Washington or Oregon State Bar.
  • At least 4 years of experience in estate planning, settlement, or probate.
  • Eligible and willing to gain admission to the other state within 12 months.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with legal drafting platforms and Microsoft Office.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Oregon or Washington (required).

  • Proficiency in estate planning documents and probate procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
