A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney licensed in South Carolina to manage a substantive caseload in Charleston, SC. This role offers the opportunity to grow expertise in a supportive, value-driven environment.

Duties

• Manage a statewide bankruptcy caseload efficiently.
• Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and other key documents.
• Conduct Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and draft objections as needed.
• Attend court hearings, both virtual and in-person.
• Act as liaison between the firm, clients, courts, trustees, and outside counsel.
• Handle time-sensitive escalations and update client systems accurately.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active South Carolina Bar Membership in good standing.
• Three years of bankruptcy experience preferred, but not required.
• Comfort with high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed for court appearances.
• Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active South Carolina Bar Membership.

Skills

• Experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation is a bonus.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, or TILA is advantageous.
• Background in foreclosure law is beneficial.
