Job Overview:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Assist with case management and strategy development.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings.
  • Prepare and argue motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and discovery motions.
  • Conduct depositions and other discovery activities.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation-related matters.
  • Assist with client intake and case evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar.
