Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Lending Real Estate Associate to join its Real Estate practice in the Commercial Lending Department in New York, NY. The role involves working with banks, insurance companies, and other institutional lenders on various transaction structures and property types, including multi-family developments, hotels, and energy facilities.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate mortgages and other real estate documents.
• Review, draft, and negotiate loan agreements and guaranties.
• Conduct title and survey reviews.
• Manage real estate closings.
• Address environmental issues in real estate transactions.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of real estate and/or finance legal experience.
• Familiarity with the perspective of banks, institutional investors, developers, and landlords.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Superior interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to handle fast-paced transactions and multiple projects.
• Professional presence and flexibility in work situations.
• Membership in good standing or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.
