Duties:

• Draft and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, motions, and briefs
• Perform in-depth legal research to support cases and legal strategies
• Analyze and interpret legal documents to provide sound legal advice
• Attend depositions, court hearings, and other legal proceedings on behalf of clients
• Negotiate settlements and other resolutions to legal matters
• Handle multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met
• Maintain accurate and well-organized case files and documentation

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Supreme Court
• Admission to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York is a plus
• At least 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and/or defense law
• Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and practices
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in New York State Supreme Court (required)
• Admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (preferred)
