Mid to Senior Associate - Civil Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid to Senior Associate for its Civil Litigation practice in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance coverage, premises liability, labor and employment, or transportation/trucking defense. This role involves representing clients in court, preparing legal documents, and developing case strategies.

Duties

• Draft, review, and revise legal documents.
• Advise clients on legal rights and strategies.
• Gather evidence and conduct research for cases.
• Prepare legal briefs and develop case strategies.
• Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
• Engage and prepare experts for depositions and trials.
• Prepare responses to discovery requests and defend depositions.
• Bill a minimum of 1,800 hours annually.
• Travel for depositions, hearings, and other litigation activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of legal or private practice experience.
• Licensed to practice in WA State; OR and/or ID licenses are a plus.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to bill at least 1,800 hours annually.

Education

• Law Degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in WA State.
