Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney for its Litigation and Intellectual Property units in New York City, NY, with options for hybrid or fully remote work. The role involves enhancing legal service delivery through innovative practices, collaborating across various teams, and reporting to the Managing Director of Practice Innovation.

Duties

• Lead projects to streamline legal service delivery using people, process, and technology.
• Integrate technology, including generative AI, into legal practices.
• Support large litigation teams with workflow design and resource integration.
• Develop client-facing solutions to improve collaboration and data sharing.
• Create and maintain knowledge libraries and databases for practice content.
• Evaluate and improve legal service delivery through data analysis and trend monitoring.
• Educate legal professionals on technology and practice content to enhance service utilization.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of experience as a litigation or IP attorney in a large law firm.
• Superior communication skills for presenting complex ideas clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle diverse situations.
• Familiarity with legal technology and AI applications in legal services.
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive outlook.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.

Certifications

• Admission to practice in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction.
