Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its Financial Services Practice Group in New York. The successful candidate will represent clients in financial services transactions, focusing on payment systems and technology industries. Duties

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Support partners in advising clients on competitive RFPs and transaction structuring.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide strategic legal advice.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Participate in payments-related M&A transactions by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, providing timely updates on transactions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Three to six years of experience in financial transactions, preferably in payment systems or technology industries.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial technology and emerging payment systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
